The Chinese Culture Room is envisioned as an ideal space for students to explore Chinese culture and engage in learning, blending traditional heritage with modern design through a new Chinese style to create an environment that combines cultural transmission with educational functionality.

Featuring a light wood base tone and soft colors with Chinese elements, the design aims to spark students’ interest in Chinese culture while fostering cultural identity and creative development.

The goal is to enable students to deeply understand traditional arts and values in a comfortable learning atmosphere, serving as a cornerstone of campus cultural education and nurturing future talents with a global perspective and Chinese roots.

Design Philosophy:

The design philosophy of the Chinese Culture Room centers on a new Chinese style, utilizing light wood walls and floors paired with soft traditional colors like beige, gray, and black to reflect natural harmony.

Furniture features custom-designed light wood Chinese desks and chairs for elementary students, blending modern minimalist lines with practicality and aesthetics.

Chinese pendant lamps and fans enhance the cultural ambiance, while the background wall incorporates ink wash landscape paintings and roof eave decorations, emphasizing the fusion of traditional art with modern functionality.

The overall layout prioritizes flexibility and comfort, aiming to inspire students’ passion for Chinese culture through harmonious design, serving as a bridge between culture and education.

Decorative Elements:

The decorative elements of the Chinese Culture Room highlight the ink wash landscape painting background wall, complemented by Chinese roof eave designs and a magnetic board with a hanging system for displaying student works or cultural content, adding visual depth and practicality.

The right cultural wall, divided by wooden strips, showcases poetry and calligraphy to reflect traditional artistic essence.

The entrance features a Chinese wood-grain door sticker, while external wooden grilles with landscape decor and the “Chinese Culture Room” plaque above, along with wall stickers of the four arts (qin, qi, shu, hua), emphasize cultural richness, infusing the space with the artistic charm of Chinese heritage.

Functional Layout:

The functional layout of the Chinese Culture Room is practical and adaptable, with real wood storage cabinets on both sides of the front providing ample storage, and a central wooden sliding door that can conceal screens for enhanced flexibility.
The right cultural wall, divided into sections, displays poetry and calligraphy with a magnetic board for adjustable content, while the left window cabinet and Chinese curtains create a learning ambiance.
Custom-designed real wood desks and chairs ensure comfort for elementary students, with Chinese pendant lamps and fans offering soft lighting and ventilation, complemented by external wooden grilles and an entrance door that reinforce the overall style.
This layout supports cultural displays, classroom teaching, and group activities, meeting diverse educational needs and encouraging students’ deep exploration of Chinese culture.
